Nokia PC Suite is a software package used to establish an interface between Nokia mobile devices and computers that run Microsoft Windows operating system. It has been replaced by Nokia Suite.
You
can sync information between your phone and programs, such as Office
Outlook, create multimedia messages, or manage your phone’s calendar
effortlessly on your computer. You can also connect your computer to the
internet with the help of your phone.
It has a set of features available in it that allows a user to Backup files (on the phone) and synchronize the calendar,contacts,etc.. with the computer.
The Backup Manager, called Nokia Content Copier, can make backups on the PC and restore the backups on the phone. The Synchronize option synchronizes emails, calendar items and notes with Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Organizer.
The File Manager can read and write data on the phone.
The Music manager can rip and create music files and transfer it to a users´ phone and the My Collection option will show all the music files on the system with tags (like Album, Artist, etc..). This is a new feature included in this version.
The Image Store feature can store in the computer the images taken with the phone's camera.
It has a 'Video Manager that can transfer videos to the phone. In this feature the video manager converts the video into a format supported by the phone.
Moreover the program also has a Phone Software Updater, that searches the net for the latest version of the phone's software and updates it.
It can also make an Internet connection using the phone as a modem. The Download Map option can download maps for the phones that are equipped with Nokia maps.
